Constitution Day Arlington, Va.: Jerome Corsi Honored - Andrew Jackson 'Champion of Liberty'

WND senior staff reporter Jerome R. Corsi will be the keynote speaker at Howard Phillips’ Constitution Day commemoration in Arlington, Va., this month.

He also will be honored with the Andrew Jackson Champion of Liberty award.

There is no admission charge to the Sept. 17 event at the Hyatt Arlington Hotel, 1325 Wilson Blvd.

The event celebrates the adoption of the U.S. Constitution in 1787.

Corsi will speak on the constitutional issues he’s researched, especially those raised by the idea of a European-style North American Union.

The award will be presented by Phillips.

Chuck Baldwin, the 2008 Constitution Party presidential candidate, also will speak. His topic is “The Dangers of a Constitutional Convention.”

Corsi received his Ph.D. from Harvard University in political science in 1972 and has written many books and articles, including his best-sellers “The Obama Nation” and “The Late Great USA.” Other books include “Showdown with Nuclear Iran,” “Black Gold Stranglehold: The Myth of Scarcity and the Politics of Oil,” which he co-authored with WND columnist Craig. R. Smith, and “Atomic Iran.”

Corsi also is an expert on political violence and terrorism. In 1981, he received a Top Secret clearance from the Agency for International Development, where he assisted in providing anti-terrorism/hostage survival training to embassy personnel.
